Moisturize your Situation

I once watched a documentary that traveled the globe in search of information on what attracted men to women.  Of the top 10 physical traits that they compiled, 3 still stand out in my mind, in no particular order:
  1. Hip to waist ratio - a smaller waist and larger hips represented fertility
  2. Eyes - the shape and spirit in the eyes possessed a certain j'nais se quoi for men
  3. Hair - this went hand-in-hand with femininity in their minds
While each man is an individual and has his own likes and dislikes, it was overwhelming how many men ranked hair high on their list.  I then thought about how much we tend to neglect a trait that is so heralded around the world.

Whether you wear your hair short or long, a little TLC and a great deep conditioner can have you at the top of your game.  I've found my true love in a product called Alter Ego Garlic Conditioning Treatment.  This deep conditioner is so nourishing and prevents my hair from shedding.  And just in case you were wondering...no, it doesn't smell like garlic.  I encourage you to find that product that brings your hair to stare worthy status. Fabulous, healthy hair will make you walk with a little extra pep in your step...that's really where the true power comes from... so what if it takes a Pantene conditioning mask to jump start it.

When your "IT" ain't broke, don't fix it!

I was so disappointed to see that my girl crush, Scarlett Johanssen, cut into her IT factor. It shocked me to see her dowdy, brown hair on the red carpet for He's Just Not That Into You (cute movie!). Don't get me wrong...I'm all for doing what makes you happy, but too often people attack the thing that adds to their overall swagger. This is a no-no! Never dim your own light! There's nothing wrong with lighting up a room and demanding all eyes on you. It actually makes everyone else get on their "A" game.

Let's make them have to keep up in '09. Let you're light shine and accentuate all your "shut 'em down" characteristics.

Do you like me?

The most freeing thing about getting your Girly Swagg in order is not seeking the approval of others. That means, first and foremost, MEN!

Try something new in '09. Like guys that like you (or girls for that matter). I'm not saying that you have to take a defeatist approach to life. I'm simply stating that maybe you should read the signs and feel the chemistry. Energy never lies. Fall in love with yourself and radiate that positive energy out to others and see what happens. You'll be surprised at the results, and most importantly, you'll be surprised by how easy it becomes to see what your options are. Despite what numerous sad love songs have told us, it isn't hard work getting someone to like you. They either want you or they don't...and we divas don't spend our time convincing men to like us. We keep it moving! Trust me on this one, running up behind men that aren't thinking about you is so played. Remember, a man has walked on the moon, so please believe that he can also find your phone number and call you if he so chooses.

Repeat after me: I will NOT ask my girlfriends why they think he hasn't called me yet. I will take pity on him for not recognizing my uber swag and keep it moving to the millions of adoring men that are waiting for me. My time here is too precious.
